Avila reduces emissions by sourcing our fabrics close to our factories and/or by using factories that make their own fabrics in house. Majority of our factories are solar powered and have processes in place to protect the environment as much as possible for example, collecting their own rain water and only using chemical free dyes. When possible Avila sources locally in Melbourne and has limited edition pieces made in house in our studio in Melbourne.

Avila's garments are made from organic cotton, recycled and modal fabrics. We are always looking for eco friendly options to ensure we can cut down on waste, pollution and landfill. The fabrics we choose are made with lower environmental impact than most other fabrics and we do our best to use left over scraps and turn them into bags, scrunchies or accessories.
We only partner with factories that meet international labor standards. We use accreditations such as BSCI, WRAP, Fair trade, GOTS, BCI, GRS, FSC to ensure these standards are being met.
Avila donates samples and excess stock to Thread Together.
It is important to Avila that we represent and include as many people as possible within our imagery and marketing, therefore we work with all different size, shape, race, age models to represent Avila's clothing.
