We are very proud to be entering a into a World’s first recycling programme: from November onwards, every single Mizzie The Kangaroo's natural Rubber teethers (mini Mizzie and Mizzie Original) will be able to be recycled at the world’s leader in clean conversions (low emissions, no hazardous by-products, requires no chemical intervention and is the only process that meets the standard emissions criteria set by the Australian regulators for this type of technology), whereby our rubber will be repurposed to build roads across Australia.

• Mizzie products are created environmentally responsible, with recyclable materials, non-toxic water-based dyes and FCS-certified paper/cardboard. • Mizzie products are all non-toxic, natural, and made with materials sourced through nature in an ethical manner. Our natural rubber comes from the Hevea Tree and is recyclable. We use FCS Certified paper/cardboard, and water-based paints. • We make a conscious decision to use minimal (recyclable) packaging on our products • Mizzie The Kangaroo proudly ship using 100% recyclable materials and packaging (including our tape and non-plastic hex paper wrap), which is regularly reviewed to continue our pledge of supporting environmentally friendly alternatives. • Any extra material unused or returned is always repurposed and reused as fillers for product protection, stockist shipments etc. • Mizzie product samples are also constantly repurposed to bring life into the Mizzie World, through decoration and display visuals for stockist, customer and media events.

We continuously work with our partners, factories and suppliers to ensure ethical practices are in place and minimise environmental impact. We only work with certified factories, we continuously test and quality check our products to exceed all necessary standards. Making our natural rubber toys now recyclable closes the loop and makes us a truly circular economy product and company.

Mizzie The Kangaroo also believes in supporting local and national charities and give-back organisations. Mizzie The Kangaroo are very proud to currently support the following initiatives: • The ‘Starlight Foundation’ – Mizzie proudly donate products to very sick children, ensuring they continue to have access to fun educational toys every year. Mizzie is an active participant in the Starlight 5 Chefs Dinner Donation Fundraiser every year and has been named an Official Drop Off Zone for the Starlight Christmas Toy Drive. • Mizzie The Kangaroo proudly supports Brisbane local primary school, Eagle Junction Sate School – whom collaborated on Mizzie’s customer favourite Sing With Mizzie SOUND BOOK. Mizzie The Kangaroo regularly donates a portion of the product’s proceeds back to the school’s Music Department. • Mizzie The Kangaroo are proud to work in collaboration with not-for-profit organisation Multicap’s The Makeables with our Australian assembled products, supporting the local community and creating employment opportunities for people living with a disability to find work.

We offer flexible work, we employ part-time return-to-work mums, we offer internships for students, and currently in our office, we have 3 different nationalities.
