Our Matcha is Japanese Certified Organic (JAS) by the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry, and Fisheries of Japan. This means the farms we source from are committed to producing Matcha Green Tea without the use of pesticides and chemical fertilisers. Australia and Japan recognise equivalence under the JAS organic standard. All of our tea is housed in 100% home compostable packaging that can be discarded in your home compost or green waste bin. Tea Pouches - Created by Ember Sustainable Packaging Product Labels - Created by Black Rainbow Printing We ship our products out 100% plastic free using paper based honeycomb packing materials to protect goods and posted in cardboard mailer boxes or home compostable satchels. We use carbon neutral courier service Sendle to ship products. We use a green carbon neutral energy provider for our home office.

Home Compostable Tea Pouches - The packaging is made from three compostable films derived from sustainably-produced wood pulp and GM-free corn sources. The three films are laminated together to provide the barrier properties required to lock in the taste and freshness of coffee and dry foods. You can put your used pouches in your own home compost or worm farm, containing heat, water, oxygen, soil and micro-organisms. They can also be disposed of in a commercial composting facility if you have one in your area. Compost trials have shown that pouches can break down into small fragments in as little as 15 weeks.

Refunds (if applicable) Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund. If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within a certain amount of days. Late or missing refunds (if applicable) If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account again. Then contact your credit card company, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted. Next contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted. If you’ve done all of this and you still have not received your refund yet, please contact us at hello@matchayutea.com. Exchanges (if applicable) We replace items if they are defective or damaged. Or if the product received is not what you have expected, please send us an email at hello@matchayutea.com so we can discuss further.
